10 Coolest Antiques For Sale On Craigslist In Amarillo
If you are anything like me, you are on craigslist at least once a day. It's just an interesting site to browse even if your not in the market to buy anything. I enjoy browsing the 'antiques' section of the site to see what cool old stuff they have for sale in there. Sometimes you come across some really awesome stuff. But, be prepared to pay for it because most people in that section know exactly what their stuff is worth. Check out some of the cool stuff I stumbled across while cruising the 'antiques' section.
1953 Wurlitzer Juke Box
This is an old juke box that the owner say "he's not sure if it works. Latest music loaded was some old school country music. I wonder if he'll throw in the garbage around it for that price as well?
1950's Coca-Cola Clock
Anyone who knows anything about antiques knows that any item from Coca-Cola is VERY collectible. This being from the 50's has attached quite a price tag to it. Would you pay $1500 for a vintage clock?
Ice Box From The Late 1800's
This is the kind of stuff that I like. Looks like a regular cabinet, but when opened up has all the interiors of an old refrigerator/ice box. In the 1800's they did not have 'refrigerators' but had these insulation boxes that held their ice and slowed the time it took to melt.
Model 27 Coke Machine From The 40's
Here is another piece of Coca-Cola history and this is a beauty. Not only is this Model 27 Coke machine in great condition, but according to the owner, it works great too! Wouldn't that make an awesome conversation starter as you grabbed a friend a soda out of this old school machine.
Monroe Adding Machine
The owner of this item didn't put much information about the item in the decription, but I think it's an amazing comparison to how times have changed. I mean, can you imagine lugging this thing around? Now we carry full on computers in our pockets that connect us with people anywhere in the world.
Hand Painted Table & Chairs
Here is a set of table and chairs. Super nice with hand painted scenery. This is definitely a one of a kind item that you won't find in anyone's collection.
Italian Florentine Cabinet
This is an old 1920's cabinet with the old skeleton key locking mechanism that still works. It is obviously very well taken care of. There are not very many of these floating around.
Antique Golf Clubs
For the golf enthusiast and collector, these are some really cool vintage golf clubs. I know that vintage clubs can definitely go for some big money, but are a worthwhile investment, if you have the extra bread laying around.
Dietz Comet Lantern
This is another item that is right up my ally. I love this old camping equipment! Especially when it's still working. The owner did not state whether this was still in working condition, but it would still make a nice addition to a collection either way.
Sickle & Scythe
Most people in today's age have never even had the chance to see one of these, outside of a horror movie that is. But, this is a pristine example of a tool set that people had to use in the 'Not So Distant' past to harvest crops. Can you imagine having to take this out into the field every morning and start hacking away? Not me.
