The 2016 iHeartRadio Music Awards kicked off with a medley performance by none other than Canadian pop export Justin Bieber, who — looking very '80s while dressed in a red windbreaker and gold chain — started his set with an acoustic guitar rendition of "Love Yourself." After impressively ending the song a capella, the megastar launched into his Purpose track and rumored upcoming single "Company," marking his first live TV performance of the song. Venturing out into the audience during a dance breakdown, Biebs even pulled a fan from the crowd to get down personally with him on the dance-floor.

Afterwards, Meghan Trainor, who won a Grammy on February 15, performed her early '00s-inspired new single, "No," rocking her hips to the track while surrounded by her dancers.

Rolling in on an ATV, rapper Fetty Wap also took to the awards show stage to perform "Again."

Meanwhile, Demi Lovato teamed up with country superstar Brad Paisley to perform an electric guitar-assisted rendition of her powerful pop ballad, "Stone Cold."

Joining G-Eazy onstage, singer-songwriter Bebe Rexha and the rising rapper performed their massive collaboration track "Me, Myself & I."

Later, Joe Jonas'  band DNCE invaded the stage to perform their groovy pop-rock hit, "Cake By the Ocean," as well as Chic's 1978 disco smash "Le Freak" alongside the iconic Nile Rodgers.

Towards the end of the evening, pop's brooding bad boy Zayn Malik closed the show with a laser illuminated performance of "Like I Would."
