37 Fannin Middle School Students Test Positive For Tuberculosis
Testing for Tuberculosis continues at Amarillo ISD school, Fannin Middle School. After about 8 weeks, currently in the 3rd round of testing, with 37 students testing positive. That's out of a total of 250 students and faculty combined tested so far.
"No additional active cases have been identified in this significant exposure, he said.
The people who tested positive are in the process of medical examinations and chest x-rays, Richardson said. Most of the testing will be finished this week.
Recent completed tests have shown higher than expected results, Richardson said."
Yeah, you could say that's A LOT higher than any of us expected!
