1 - Old West Stables in Palo Duro Canyon Park

Old West Stables allows you to "rent" a horse with a reservation, and they take you on guided tours of the beautiful Palo Duro Canyon. It's a fun way to get out of the house and do something you never had the chance to! This is definitely on my 'things to do' list for the summer!

2- Hiking or Biking in Palo Duro Canyon

If you live in Amarillo or anywhere near Palo Duro Canyon and haven't got a chance to get out there yet, you're missing out! They have tons of things to do such a bird watching, sight seeing, hiking, biking, and sometimes they even have plays! My friends and I get out there every now and then and get some hiking in! Great work out idea!

Amarillo Parks and Recreation have worked hard to build several splash pads around town.  They are all free to the public.  While there are already several available, they are continuing to build more for you to enjoy in your neighborhood.

Wonderland is an amusement park pack filled with rides, games, and food! What a great way to get the family or maybe you and your 'hot' date! Kids will love the 'kiddyland' rides and adults will love the adrenaline filled roller coasters! You don't want to pass this opportunity up!

This is an amazing way to make sure that your kids aren't stuck being a couch potato all summer! The Parks & Recreation Department is comprised of several divisions to include Park Administration, Park Maintenance, Athletics, Aquatics, Recreation, Special Events, Golf, Tennis and the Zoo! These everyday activities are great for any age group!
