Admit it Ladies, You’re Only Pretending To Like Football [Poll]

I have never been of fan of pretending to like something when I really don't.  I find it to be a waste of time and a waste of effort.  While there may be a small percentage of women who like and understand football, I think women who say they like football are just putting on a front.

I have never really been a fan of any sport.  I do go and watch my nieces and nephews play, but I'm just going to see them, I don't really care about the details.  Every time I hear or see a woman saying how much they love football, I giggle a little.

I know there will be a few women who attack me and say they really do love the game, but come on-football is boring.  I have tried to sit through a game and I can't even make it through the first quarter.  It is not a fun thing to do.

Here is my theory.  Women want to pretend to like football to impress men.  If they like football then they can have something in common with their boyfriend, husband, dad, or even brother.  It is something to bond over.

I get it, if you're into football it gives off the "oh how cute, she really likes the sport."  I think it is time to be honest with yourself.  You don't like football!  It's ok.  If you are trying to impress someone this isn't the way.  If they like you they will like you regardless if you are a football fan or not.

You can still be supportive of their interests without torturing yourself.  Take off the jerseys and go do something you like to do and leave the guys to football!
