Altercation At Lambie Lane Apartments Ends With One Person Shot And Another Injured

Amarillo Police were dispatched to Lambie Lane Apartments on reports of a fight.  Responding officers found one man that had been shot and another with facial injuries.

"Officers responded to a reported fight at the Lambie Lane Apartments at 4302 W. 51^st.  Officers found a BM 28 suffering from a gunshot wound to the back, and a BM 26 had facial injuries.  The initial investigation indicates that the two men were involved in some type of altercation with two WMs and a WF outside the apartments.  During this incident, one of the WMs produced a handgun and fired shots, one of which struck the victim.  The WMs and WF then fled from the apartments in two vehicles, a dark colored SUV and an older model vehicle described as blue or gray.  Both victims were taken to a local hospital by ambulance for non-life threatening injuries.  The victims do not live at that apartment complex."

There have been no arrests and the circumstances surrounding this incident are still under investigation.
