Someone did their good deed for the day, as an Amarillo saw someone inside a house they knew was vacant and being remodeled.  Their suspicion got them on the phone with police, and it led to the arrest of a man who is believed to be a suspect in another robbery that took place in the area.

Amarillo Police

"The caller gave dispatchers a description of the suspect and advised that the suspect had left the house and was in a nearby alley pushing a shopping cart. Officers arrived in the area and located an H/M matching the description given by the witness. When the suspect saw officers, he immediately took off running. Officers pursued him and finally caught him in the 3800 block of NE 11th. It is believed that the suspect had actually broken in to two different residences in this same area."

The suspect was arrested and booked into the Potter County Correction Center on charges of Burglary of a Habitation and Evading Arrest/Detention.  Additional Burglary charges are pending.
