Amarillo Dating Hot Spots

I’m not originally from Amarillo, so I don’t know about a lot of awesome places that the born and raised Amarillians know about.  But I have come up with a  list of some hot spots for first dates.  Tell me what you think and feel free to share some of your favorite spots.

First dates can be very stressful.  Where to go, What to do?  Well if you are gearing up to take that first step, maybe I can help. I am a true believer that you have to get a good feel of the type of person you are dating in order to make the date successful.

If you are set up and really don’t know the person to much, I would suggest going for dinner or drinks at a nice place that isn’t too noisy.  Dinner at Zen 721 would be perfect.  And if you need something a little less expensive but with the same environment try the Olive Garden.  Both restaurants would give you  a chance to talk and get to know one another.

Now if you have known the person for a while, but still want to impress, then try to focus the date around things they like.  For example if they are into sports, a perfect first date would be taking in a sporting event.  You could go see the Amarillo Venom in action or the Amarillo Bulls.

Another fun first date would be dancing or Karaoke.  I love to dance so this would be perfect for me.  Amarillo is filled with dancing spots and depending on the night, you could find a perfect place.  Like Pink’s Sports Bar and Lounge or Le Chateau, just to name a few.

Now if you are the romantic type or your date is, the I have the perfect date for you.  It is a little corny, but I think it will work.  Grab a picnic and head over to Medi Park. You can find a nice spot, away from the ducks, and enjoy a picnic.  Then you can take your date for a stroll inside the Amarillo Botanical Gardens. It will be romantic and quiet enough to get to know each other.

And lastly, the weather is beginning to warm up and if you like to have fun the perfect date would be the amusement park!  Amarillo has a few different places that you could go, my favorites are Wonderland Park and Sports World. Both places would guarantee a fun time and you can bet the date will be a success.
