The event will be held this weekend at Memorial Park from 12-6pm. The Metropolitan Community Church Amarillo (MCCA) is throwing a potluck picnic to celebrate the LGBTQ community in Amarillo. There will be free HIV screenings, courtesy of the Amarillo Department of Health, plus some really fun activities for the whole family.

There will be a bouncy house for the kids, live music from Insufficient Funds, a DJ, and tons of vendor boots. Then they will host the Panhandle Pride volleyball tournament and Panhandle Pride parade.

In the evening, there will be a (family-friendly) drag show and a presentation of the Panhandle Pride Person of the Year.

This is the fifth official year that Amarillo has hosted the Panhandle Pride Picnic.

This is a free, all-ages event happening at Memorial Park this weekend. For more information, check out the Panhandle Pride Facebook.
