Memorial day is usually the kick off to summer.  That means a house full of kids that seem to need 24/7 entertainment.  The Amarillo Public Libraries want to lend a helping hand.

Amarillo libraries are gearing up to kick off Common Ground.  This is a summer reading program for kids, teens, adults and families.  This program runs from June 1st to August 1st.  Each age group has a different activity scheduled just for them.

Dig Into Reading is a program just for kids.  Beneath the Surface is a program for teens.  Groundbreaking Reads are summer activities for adults.  And Planting the Seeds is an activity program for families.

The summer programs include weekly activities and awards for time spent reading.

This isn't all the library has to offer this summer.  Along with these activities, they show free movies and offer 16 different story times each week.

So, there is no reason for your kids to be bored!  Head over to the closest public library and get registered!
