Amarillo’s Back To School Shopping 2012

School is just a few weeks away and it is time to do some back to school shopping. I know that you are always trying to find the best deals in town, so I did some research to help you out. Here are some of the best deals in town on everything from school supplies to clothing.
A lot of people shop at Wal-Mart because it is known for it’s low prices. Here are some of the deals they have going on right now.
Markers- $0.50; Pencil Boxes $0.97; Glue Sticks/Crayons $0.25; Paper $0.82; Backpacks $12.88, Shirts starting at $4.98; Gateway Laptops $328.00; Printers $49.00; and Desks $44.88.
Target had a few deals on school supplies like $1 for pencils, pens and water colors; $3 for spirals and 6-pack glue sticks; $12 for lunch boxes and thermos.
But they really had some great deals on clothes. All kids shoes are buy one get one 50% off; Polos for girls and boys $5; jeans $12; camis, tanks, and tees $6; shorts are 25% off; socks $2.50; and bras $9.
Big Lots was the store that had the best deal on school supplies. Most of the things were less than a buck. 2 pocket folders $0.14; Single Subject Spirals $0.17; Glue/Crayons $0.24; Pens $0.49; Markers $0.50; Paper $0.74; and Backpacks $9.00.
Justice inside the Westgate Mall had some really good deals on girls school clothes. Everything in the store is 40% off right now. They carry uniforms-polos, pants, skirts, and shorts. They also have cute and trendy backpacks, binders, calculators, pens and pencils.
JC Penny inside the Westgate Mall also has some really good deals on school clothes. Uniforms are on sale with Polos starting at $7, shorts $10, skirts $10. They also have boys skinny jeans on sale for $15; button front shirts $8; jeans $7; girls shirts starting at $6; skirts $5 and graphic tees as low as $4.
These are just a few deals that I found and thought were pretty good! Now like all sales, they have an end date. Most of these sales run through the 11th with the exception of Justice who’s sale ends on the 13th.
