An Amarillo Woman Tries To Run Over Another Woman At Lighthouse Apartments

Amarillo Police were called to the Lighthouse Apartments after one woman tried to mow down another with her car.  Somebody tried to take Grandma Got Ran Over By A Reindeer literally.  Except the reindeer was a car, and grandma was at home nice and safe.

I remember a song called Don't Mess With My Man, and the driver might have been jamming it on her I-Pod at the time.  Amarillo Police report that this incident might have happened after two women started to duke it out over a man.

Is a dude really worth that?  If he's out creeping, wouldn't you try to run him over instead?  Just thinking out loud...

Amarillo Globe News reports:

"Amarillo police responded to two unrelated calls Tuesday evening at Lighthouse Apartments, 4515 S. Virginia St., one of which authorities said resulted in an arrest.

Officers responded at 8:50 p.m. to a call of a woman in a white vehicle attempting to run over another woman in the 4100 block of Howell Street, Sgt. Earnest Douglass said. The woman being pursued threw bricks at the vehicle in an attempt to escape, he said. Several witnesses unrelated to the dispute verified the events, and police arrested the woman in the white vehicle, Douglass said.

Douglass said the incident appeared to begin with the two women fighting, possibly over a male, that then escalated."

The brick throwing female was not charged, and the driver was arrested.  APD says she'll most likely be facing charges of aggravated assault with a motor vehicle.

What ever happened to the "good ol' days"?  You know, when two girls would just duke it out while the guys stood around watching and praying clothes would get ripped off?  I miss high school sometimes.
