Amarillo Police are investigating a case in which an armed woman repeatedly told officers to "shoot her".  A domestic dispute on the 1900 block of N Spring turned into an almost suicide after officers arrived and the woman actually requested for police to shoot her.

Just a little before 2pm on Tuesday, offices were dispatched to a domestic dispute.  Upon arrival, it was learned that an armed woman was pouring gasoline onto separate vehicles, but had not taken a flame to any of them at the time.

Officers found the male subject involved in the dispute on the front porch, holing a baby.  He informed officers that the female subject was in the garage and was armed.

She opened the garage door, and after being told repeatedly to drop her weapon, she complied, but kept telling the officers to shoot her.

It is unknown why the woman was so adamant about wanting to be shot, but she did have preexisting injuries and was bleeding.

She was taken into custody by police, and treated by EMS responders.

No arrests were made, but the case remains under investigation.
