A bank robbery took place today at the Wells Fargo at Georgia & Wolflin in Amarillo.  The robbery took place at 2:14pm today, and Amarillo Police has just released additional details, including details about the suspect.

I'm not gonna say the details are great, because they're pretty vague...  Better than nothing I guess...

Amarillo Police

"Witnesses originally reported the suspect was a long sleeved black or dark colored shirt and dark colored shorts or pants, however after reviewing the video tape; the suspect was wearing a long sleeve white shirt. The suspect did hand a note to the teller demanding money and implied that he had a weapon. The teller handed over an undisclosed amount of cash and the suspect left out the south doors of the bank. The suspect is only described as being a B/M in his 20’s or 30’s."

APD Detectives and local FBI agents are currently investigating the robbery.  They will be releasing photos soon, and I'll have them up once they do.

Between now and then, if you have information on the robbery, contact Amarillo Crime Stoppers at 806-374-4400
