You always see me out in the city and I always have a flipcam in my pocket at all times. Even though you might think Amarillo is small, there really are so many things to do here. Summer is here now you and the kids are wondering what you can do, right? Let me help you out and show you some of the places I enjoy to go to.

    Wonderland Park

    This is my #1 spot to go to in Amarillo, Texas Wonderland Park. A place where you can go with family and friends bringing you rides for everyone from rides for the kiddos to the extreme rides! they even have water rides to cool you off during this hot summer.Open June 6th-August 15th 7 days a week. Since there's no fireworks allowed this year this is a good place to celebrate your 4th of July.

    Amarilo Zoo

    200 Comanchero Trail - Amarillo, TX 79107

    The Amarillo Zoo comes in 3rd place as my favorite Outdoor Place in Amarillo. The zoo is open 7 days a week from 9:30-5:30 pm. The Amarillo zoo is great for school field trips and family trips with lots of animals to see from favorite the monkeys to the bears and lions, and they recently added a reptile exhibition room. The Amarillo Zoo is very affordable adults from ages 13-61 are only $3 and kids 3-12 are only $1.

    Splash Amarillo

    1415 Sunrise Dr. Amarillo, Texas 79104

    Splash Amarillo comes in at #2 for Hacker's Best Outdoor place in Amarillo. With Amarillo hitting many 100 degree days this is a perfect place to spend your day. From thrilling high speed slides I suggest the "taco slide", to the Huge wave pool to practice your body surfing, or if you are being lazy check out the "lazy river", there's plenty of rides for everyone. They even have a whole area for the kiddos to have fun in the water. They provide plenty of great experienced lifeguards.Make sure you check out the sand volleyball courts,air conditioned arcade room, and there food concession stands.Splash is open 7 days a week for the summer Monday- Saturday 12-7pm and Sunday 12-6pm.

    Cadillac Ranch

    Just west of the Amarillo city line. I-40 exit 60. Drive south to the frontage road (old Route 66)

    Cadillac Ranch come in at #4 Best Outdoor Place in Amarillo. Picture this your driving by a open and you seen halfway buried Cadillac cars buried into the ground.Well that is the case here in Amarillo. Back in 1974 a man name Stanley Marsh buried 10 Cadillacs ranging from 1949-1963 models.This is a very popular tourist stop and a must see it's open to the public 7 days a week. Cadillac Ranch attracts thousands of people everyday.If you decide to stop through Amarillo,Tx make sure to check out the Cadillac Ranch and bring a can of spray paint to grafitti your name so we know you were passing through Amarillo but make sure you throw your can away on the way out in the dumpster.If I even owned even 1 Cadillac there is no way I would bury my car halfway into the ground.

    Amarillo Skate Park

    Amarillo Skate Park is #5 on my list for Best Outdoor Places in Amarillo.I've been here many weekends and the skate park is always packed even at night time. People of all ages come to watch or participate in the action weather its on a skateboard,bike,or roller blades. Amazing tricks and very cool place to chill at.If you do participate I recommend you wearing a helmet. Don't be surprised if you stop by and you see me doing a 360 on my bike.
