British Teen – Gaby Scanlon – Has Stomach Removed After Drinking Liquid Nitrogen Cocktail

Gaby Scanlon was out celebrating her 18th birthday, when she began having extreme stomach pains.  She was taken to the hospital and they completely removed her stomach!  The cause, a Jagermeister bomb made with liquid nitrogen, effect, total gastrectomy.

The mixed drink had a negative effect on Gaby, perforating her stomach.  Doctors report that if she hadn't came in and surgeons not removed her stomach, she would certainly have died.

Currently, she's in serious, but stable condition.

The surgery will not leave her living an abnormal life, people who undergo this surgery just eat much smaller portions of food, and supplement with vitamins.

Adding liquid nitrogen to drinks and foods isn't uncommon.  It's added to give that smokey/steaming effect.  I don't think I'll ever be trying it after learning this news of Gaby.
