Bryson Tiller Pays for Customers’ Groceries at Kentucky Supermarkets
Apparently the Christmas spirit is strong with Bryson Tiller. The "Exchange" performer recently paid for the groceries of a few customers in local supermarkets in his hometown of Louisville, Ky.
Kentucky news outlet WRDB reports Tiller shared his wealth at two local grocery stores. Joann Samuels was among the first to meet the rising superstar when he approached her at the local Kroger. "He said, 'Why don't you fill up that whole basket,'" she explained. "I said, 'What do you mean fill up the whole basket?' He said, 'Fill it up, and I'll pay for it.'"
Samuels said she was skeptical at first, not knowing who, exactly, he was. "I looked at him. He looked like a clean cut guy. I was a little bit apprehensive, because you know, you can't trust everyone nowadays," she explained. "I said, 'I just can't believe this, I've never had this happen to me.' And he said, 'This is my way of giving back at Christmas time.' And I said, 'Are you an entertainer?' He said, 'Uh, something like that.'"
The Trapsoul artist continued his goodwill at the local Pic Pac. Customers in the market recognized him almost immediately, and he paid for the groceries of a few senior citizens. According to Jaron Alexander, who is an employee at Pic Pac, Tiller said he was just trying to support the community that helped raise him. "He was like, 'I'm home for the holidays, and I just came to give back to my city. I grew up in the south end, and I shop in here a lot, and I want to give back,'" Alexander explained.
In other Tiller-related news, the Louisville crooner recently revealed that he's teaming up with Nike to release a special edition of the Air Force 1 Bespoke iDs. He's also hinted at a collaboration on Drake's newest project. It's safe to say that he'll be doing some big things in 2017.
