Here's something to do this Friday evening. How about taking a walk on the Paseo del Rio nature hike.

You will join the Palo Duro park interpreter for a 1.5 mile hike and learn about the river that formed Palo Duro Canyon. You will also visit the historic cowboy dugout and experience the flora, fauna and geology of the canyon. If you are going please dress properly for the weather. Also bring good hiking shoes and lots of water to keep hydrated. This will be an easy hike and family friendly. Pets are also welcomed as long as they are on a leash. If your interested in going you need to meet at Chinaberry Day Use area located just past water crossing #1 on the right-hand side of the road. They will be charging regular park entry fee $5 per adult, and children 12 & under are free. There will be no extra charge for this program. Remember also to wear or bring sunscreen!
