Chris Brown A Nice Guy Or Putting On A Nice Show?

Over the years, Chris Brown has done way more to ruin his reputation than to improve it.  So when he performs a random act of kindness, it make me question his motives.

Since 2009 Chris Brown has been volunteering with the Jenesse Center - a non-profit domestic violence and prevention organization.  And yes, that is the same year he beat his then girlfriend Rihanna. Well last week he stopped by to host their 'Back to School Festival.'

The purpose of the festival was to give the children the school supplies they needed to start the school year.  According to sources, Brown was at the festival and saw an ice cream truck outside and decided to treat all the kids and adults present to a little treat.

Nobody asked Brown to buy the ice cream, but he did anyway.  He actually ended up spending several hundred dollars.  So what is the deal?  Was the whole purpose to show him as a kind guy or did he really just want to put a smile on the kids faces?
