Cities Are Banning Chick-Fil-A From Business Permits Because They Are Not Gay Marriage Supporters [POLL]

There have been at least 3 cities that have “vowed to block efforts to open Chick-fil-A restaurants” after the company’s incredibly intelligent president told reporters that he “supported the traditional definition of marriage – and warned that redefining marriage might bring God’s judgment on the nation.” Meaning, he’s not a supporter of gay marriage and doesn’t want his company to be known as gay marriage advocates! 

Fox News, who in my opinion would be the absolute last media conglomerate to make a big deal out of this, is really taking it and running hard with it.  So what, are the conservatives at Fox News all of the sudden supporters of gay marriage?  I highly doubt it!

Regardless of my opinion about the news team at Fox, they have done some very good digging into the matter, and I think they are doing it to kind of revamp their own image.  They’ve painted themselves as a right wing, conservative news team.  Against gay marriage, abortion and even Barack Obama.

Fox News reports:

“Chick-fil-A values are not Chicago values,” said Mayor Rahm Emanuel in a statement to the Chicago Tribune. “They disrespect our fellow neighbors and residents.”

Emanuel was vowing his support for Alderman Proco Moreno’s announcement that he would block construction of a Chick-fil-A restaurant in his district.

Now, I personally know the local Chick-Fil-A owners in Amarillo and they are very good people!  They are not racist and they do support gay marriage.

But to have your president of the entire company come out with such an outlandish statement!  That’s going to hurt all the Chick-Fil-A restaurants all over the country!

Further more, what the hell is this guys problem?

With more than 50% of all marriages ending in divorce, I think it’s safe to say that the redefining of marriage happened long before gay people started asking for equal rights in marriage.

So he’s going to win the STFU award of the week!

Am I alone in thinking they need a new president, one that will keep his mouth shut when it’s appropriate.
