Dallas Mavericks Guard DeShawn Arrested for Public Intoxication
Looks like DeShawn Stevenson didn’t want to let the champagne stop flowing after the Dallas Mavericks won the NBA title.
Police in Irving, Texas arrested the 30-year-old guard Tuesday night for public intoxication.
Stevenson, who averaged 4.5 points a game during the Mavericks’ championship run, was reportedly walking around an apartment complex, but had no idea where he was.
He also failed field sobriety tests.
The 10-year veteran, who joined the Mavericks in the middle of the 2009-2010 campaign, was released from jail Wednesday. The Mavericks had no comment on the matter.
