Things got a little heated between neighbors in the 1000 block of SW 14th in Amarillo, and I don't mean the heat of the gun barrel that was shot.  A dispute between neighbors resulted in shots fired, but thankfully, not injuries.  It also resulted in Amarillo Police making an arrest for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

Witnesses say a male subject was arguing with his neighbor, threatened with a gun, but pointed the gun at the ground and fired a shot.  I guess it was meant to be a warning.

Officers showed up just after 2am this morning, and contacted the man by using the patrol car's loud speaker.  The subject came outside and spoke with officers.

Officers determined that he had been the one that discharged the firearm. They recovered the shell casing from the yard and obtained consent to search the man's house, where they retrieved the 9mm caliber handgun.

The suspect, 27 year old Nicholas Jordan Foust, was booked into the Potter County Detention Center on one charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
