Prom!  It's a right of passage for most high schoolers, but it could also be an adult passage.  Especially if it's a fun and unique way to prom.   Mom's this is one prom you don't want to miss.

It's a Mom Prom!

What's a Mom Prom?

It's all the fun of a regular prom, without the awkward slow dancing or tacky corsage.

Oh and it's a prom just for women 21+.

It's a chance for Moms or any woman, to get out and just have a fun night enjoying some music, food, and fun.

Do I Have to Dress Up?

Yes, that's part of the fun.  That doesn't mean go out and spend a ton of money on a dress.  Invade your closet, hit up a thrift store, or borrow something and have fun.  Recycle those bridesmaids dresses.    You can even do a throw back to the 80's, 90's, etc.

They will even have awards for the biggest hair, the best retro dress, the most glamorous dress, and what would a prom be without crowning a prom queen.

Will there be Adult Beverages?

I heard someone say Prom-tini.

When does the Mom Prom happen and how much does it cost?

The Mom Prom will be on Saturday, April 2nd, at the Amarillo Civic Center Grand Plaza.

Tickets are $40 and can be purchase here.

The best part of the Mom Prom, is it benefits a great organization, Amarillo Angels.

What is Amarillo Angels?

An organization to walk alongside children, youth, and families in the foster care community by offering consistent support through intentional giving, relationship building, and mentorship.

Grab your girlfriends and get ready for a fun time.

LOOK: 50 famous memes and what they mean

With the infinite number of memes scattered across the internet, it's hard to keep track. Just when you've grasped the meaning of one hilarious meme, it has already become old news and replaced by something equally as enigmatic. Online forums like Tumblr, Twitter, 4chan, and Reddit are responsible for a majority of meme infections, and with the constant posting and sharing, finding the source of an original meme is easier said than done. Stacker hunted through internet resources, pop culture publications, and databases like Know Your Meme to find 50 different memes and what they mean. While the almost self-replicating nature of these vague symbols can get exhausting, memes in their essence can also bring people closer together—as long as they have internet access.
