Eminem Plays a Murderer in Horror-Themed “Framed” Video
The Detroit rap veteran plays the role of a dissociative murderer who suffers from a personality disorder that makes him believe he is being framed for the killings that he is doing.
The beginning of the James Larese-directed video features a news broadcast claiming that Eminem has escaped from an asylum that he was being held in, and is being barricaded in a home so he can't go anywhere. Scenes throughout the visuals show the "Untouchable" MC in the woods battling with his frightening thoughts, standing in the room with some of the bodies he has killed, as well as speaking to authorities about the intense murders that took place.
Eminem released his Revival album at the end of 2017, which was met with mixed reviews from the hip-hop community. Despite some of the criticism, the studio LP debuted at the No. 1 slot on the Billboard 200 albums chart, moving over 267,000 equivalent album units in its first week.
