Escaped Prisoner, Marvin Garcia, Is Now In Police Custody

An inmate, Marvin Garcia, escaped the Neal Unit this morning around 3:40am. The Neal Unit along with the Amarillo Police Department have been on a man hunt ever since, and now the hunt is over.  The escaped inmate has been located and is in police custody.

He was located about 21 miles north of Amarillo, about 1 & 1/2 miles west of highway 87/287. He was spotted by air and was taken into custody by Potter County Deputies and Department of Public Safety troopers.
