Fatal Shooting In North Amarillo This Morning

About 7:00 this morning the Amarillo Police Department responded to an incident out on Kentucky Street in North Amarillo.

The Special Crimes Unit had discovered the body of the male resident laying in his living room with a gunshot wound to the upper body. The intruders forcefully entered the man's house and when the man went to investigate what was happening, the two intruders shot him and fled his house.

The victim has not been identified,but he did later died from his injuries at the local hospital.
