No parent wants to lose a child, especially a newborn, but it happens and it is devastating for the family.  These families only have a moment with their child before they say goodbye and they are only left with memories in their mind.  Frames of Love is an organization in Amarillo that can help make a lasting memory of this precious child.

Frames of Love provides a great service to families of terminally ill infants and children and those parents who have suffered the loss of a child, through photography. The ladies who founded this organization, Shannon DeFord and Carol McKinney want to provide these families with cherished memories.

Carol said that she lost her child 14 years ago at the age of 10 in a car accident, and a week before her friend and co-founder Shannon, had taken his pictures and those ended up being treasured memories for her and her family.  This what planted the seed for Frames of Love which started in 2013.

What they do is when they are contacted, one of the photographers will come to the hospital, hospice or the home of these families and they do a photo session with the child.

They are available at anytime of the day or night.

The photos and session are a service they offer for free.  A lot of times this will be the only photograph of the child.

If you are interested in their service or know of a family who will want these treasured memories:
