It appears the 2018 MTV Video Music Awards reignited some magic between two young starlets. G-Eazy and his ex, singer Halsey, were photographed holding hands outside the 1 Oak nightclub in New York early Tuesday morning (Aug. 21) after the show.

TMZ caught the pair, who broke up in July after dating for at least 10 months, leaving the club together at around 4:40 a.m. local time. They were attending an afterparty hosted by Travis Scott, who performed his songs "Stargazing" and "Sicko Mode" during MTV's broadcast of the award show.

Halsey originally announced the former couple's split, crediting the decision to a desire to focus on herself. "G-Eazy and I are taking some apart. I'm eager to continue the upcoming passage of time dedicating myself to my art and career, and the duration of my tour. I wish him the best. Thanks for respecting our privacy at this time," she wrote on Instagram.

The breakup came weeks after G-Eazy's May arrest in Sweden for cocaine possession and assaulting a nightclub bouncer. TMZ reports that Halsey was with G-Eazy on the night in question.

The "Sober" rapper also appeared during the VMAs on Monday (Aug. 20) with Shay Mitchell to introduce Bazzi's performance near the top of the show. Last week, Eazy dropped a music video for "Drop" featuring Blac Youngsta and BlocBoy JB.
