The Dapper Don Pageant is a pageant consisted of PD’s junior and senior boys who are dressed and dolled up as ladies! There are three categories that they try to win a title to. Best Legs, Talent, and a Question portion. There is also a 1^st, 2^nd, and 3^rd runner up! It was a little more unorganized than last years’ pageant, so I was unaware of what the gifts(prizes) were for the winner. Last year the winners won free tickets to prom, so it was a great investment.

The audio wasn’t on queue as it should have been and there were some technical difficulties but overall there were many laughs shared and great a great show to watch. Here is a photo gallery of all the pictures I snapped of the pageant! There were also a few Prom Proposals from the gentlemen at the pageant to their special ladies. Try not to tear up!

Let me start off by saying that I love Christmas. I have always enjoyed the holiday’s since I was a kid. Growing up in a family with a single father raising 3 boys, there normally wasn’t a whole lot of Christmas decorating going on. Normally just a full day of putting up the Christmas tree and throwing some lights and ornaments on it and we called it done.

Now that I’m married and have a family of my own, things have change. My wife loves to decorate the house with Christmas decorations. Not just the outside, but the inside as well. I’m the one who climbs the ladder and puts up a few strings of Christmas lights. My wife works tirelessly to turn our home interior into a winter wonderland.

This year, we are staying with her parents as we save to buy our own home. I now see where she gets her love for the holidays. Her mother works tirelessly for days to completely transform the inside of her home into a place that sparks that Christmas feeling. “The Grinch” could walk into her house and instantly be overcome with Christmas joy. The entire atmosphere reminds me of what I imagined Christmas should be when I was growing up. While I really loved Christmas as a child with my family, I never experienced this side of it.

The moment you walk in the door, the smell of Christmas spice hits you and instantly makes you think of pumpkin pies and baked goodies. Every wall is a celebration of the Christmas season with photos of Santa Claus, wreathes, and other holiday decorations. The tables and fireplace stands are adorned with snowmen, manger scenes, and ‘Nutcracker Soldiers’. Bags of holiday ‘Chex Mix’ fill the pantry and the cookie jars are filled with Christmas cookies.

Every day when I walk into the house, it feels like Christmas eve. Each day that goes by builds excitement in our daughter and ourselves. It’s amazing to have such a great extended family that does so much to make the holidays a special time of year, for everyone.

These are things that I never realized that I missed growing up, because we never did these things. Now that I have my family, I know that this will be a holiday tradition that we carry and pass on to our children as they grow up.

One of the streets that catches my eye every time I drive by is Gainsborough Drive, right of of Coulter Street.  The entire block is light up so beautifully.  Another neighborhood is Hayden Street, right off of Washington and 34th. They make me smile.

As the days go by, I will be taking more pictures of the best decorated houses in town.  If you know of a house that I should definitely go by and see, please share the address.

When you’re young, it seems like nothing is more fun than dressing up and going house to house trick-or-treating. When you’re older, it’s all about the costume contest and a Halloween parties.

The ‘Boo Ball’ was no disappointment in that aspect. Hundreds of amazing costumes showed up for the costume contest and other people won big cash smashing our Halloween pinatas! We literally gave away thousands of dollars in cash and prizes.

So, you just might want to make your plans for next year and stay tuned for information about the next Halloween Boo Ball Bash! Thanks to all those who came out and made this event such a big success.

Not only can too much sun exposure be painful, it can also be dangerous. So, remember to apply sunscreen often and use and ample amount. There is no such thing as too much sunscreen.

I can’t count the times that I went to the pool or lake with friends and ended up “falling asleep” on the shore or beside the pool, only to wake up with the absolute worst sunburn ever. Nothing hurts more than having severely burnt feet! So, don’t forget to slather some sunscreen on them as well!

Violet was attacked and mauled by a cheetah at a South African Gamer Reserve. The most disturbing part of this attack (at least in my mind), is that Violet’s husband is taking pictures the entire time.

Eventually staff members stepped in and pulled the giant cats off of the woman. She was quoted saying the cats “weren’t being vicious . . . they were just excited.”

I never understood the obsession with Hello Kitty, but if you are crazy about that pink loving cat, then you are in luck!  Maison 140 Hotel in Beverly Hills has dedicated and entire suite to non other than Hello Kitty herself.

Imagine going on vacation and staying in a room that looks like Hello Kitty threw up everywhere?  That is pretty much what happened to this hotel room.  Sephora wanted to promote it’s Sephora Hello Kitty Noir Beauty Collection, so they teamed up with Maison 140 Hotel to create this Kitty haven.

Everything is Hello Kitty.  The hangers, alarm clock, pillows and even the toilet paper.  The suite is filled with HK-branded Sephora beauty products, Japanese candy, and copious red bows, and is a true girly paradise.

I bet Mariah Carey‘s head just exploded!  I never understood her obsession with a kid’s toy.  But anyway I am not here to judge.  If you are a super fan like Mimi, then hurry and book your room today.  And if it is all booked up, don’t worry.  The hotel offers guests a stay in a non-Hello Kitty room and a Kitty cocktail, breakfast for two, and a limited-edition Sephora Hello Kitty Lip and Eye Palette.

It seems like now a days these fashion shows have became just stupid!  The outfits?  Are we modeling women, or birds?  Did you see the outfits?  Flip through the gallery and take a look at some of the outfits modeled.  If my wife tried to wear this stuff to bed I think I would go to the couch!  How on earth are we supposed to cuddle or have a kinky time with your 8 foot wing span?  And aren’t all those tings wrapped around your neck a chocking hazard?  These outfits have became a liability!
