Good News! Xcel Energy Cancels Surcharges!

While the rate increase put in place is still taking place, Xcel Energy is cancelling the surcharges intended for Texas customers, including Amarillo.  This surcharge was to be put in place to make up for under collected fuel costs, but falling prices of fuel have revealed a kinder and more gentle side of Xcel.

However, the announced rate increase by Xcel Energy has still been put in place.  It started October 1st, 2014, so you will see a spike in your bill when you get it, just be prepared.

Still, them withdrawing the surcharge is relieving.
