Hollywood Celebrities and The Strange Names They Give Their Children

Traditional names are now a thing of the past.  In today's society, parents are looking for the most unique and stand- outish names for their children.  Some names are quite beautiful and some names are just ridiculous.

Every parent has the right to name his/her child what they wish, but sometimes you just want to shake the parent and say what on earth were you thinking.  The people who get the most scrutiny would have to be Hollywood Celebrities.

With fans wanting to know celebrities on a personal level, they are always in the spotlight.  Beyonce knows that better than anyone.  Since she and hubby Jay Z announced they were expecting, photos of her baby bump have popped up everywhere.  So the next two questions are:  Girl or Boy, and What are you going to name him/her?

In a recent interview, Shayne Lamas stated that she is planning on naming her baby girl Press.  The reason?  "Because she is already getting so much press before her birth that the name seems fitting."

Now not all unique baby names are weird.  I personally think that Suri Cruise has a very pretty name.  Matthew McConaughtey named his children Levi and Vida, two beautiful names.  But then you have some off the wall names like Sage Moonblood, the name that Sylvester Stallone gave his son.  So I have done some research and here are a few of the craziest celebrity baby names out there.

Director, Spike Lee, named his son Satchel.

Jason Lee, from My Name is Earl, named his son Pilot Inspektor.

Actor and Actress David Duchovny and Tea Leoni named there baby Kyd.

Director Robert Rodriguez named his children Rocket, Racer, and Rebel.

Penn Jillette, from Penn and Teller, has a child names Moxie Crimefighter.

Actor, Will Ferrell, named his son Magnus Mattias.

Jermaine Jackson has a son names Jermajesty.

George Foreman has 10 children.  Five boys and five girls.  All five of his boys are named George.  Two of his daughters are named Freeda George and Georgetta.  George isn't a weird name, but naming all your kids that is.

These names make Gwyneth Paltrow's daughter Apple or Gwen Stefani's son Zuma's names not so weird.  So what do you think?  Do you think celebrities really like these names or are they just doing it for the 'Wow' factor?
