I was reading that NASA is giving it's retired space shuttles to museums.  21 museums around the country put in bids and Houston, where mission control is located, didn't get one?  Kinda baffles me cause you would think the city dubbed "space city" would have a space shuttle in it's museum right?  That's the definition of irony right there!  Turns out the retiring shuttles are going to the Smithsonian Institution for its branch in northern Virginia, the California Science Center in Los Angeles and the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex in Florida.  Bo0 on that!
