Pace Yourself When it Comes to Food

You'll be tempted with the wings, the dips, the chips, the pizza, the BBQ, the queso, the brownies, the cookies, etc... Yes, the list goes on and on, but the one thing you don't want to do is eat so much you make yourself sick.  It will haunt you for the rest of the night and into your Monday.

Get a Nap in Before the Festivities Start

Let's face it, even thought the game is over about 9-9:30p, you won't be done, you'll have to watch the new episode of whatever show is premiering after the Super Bowl.  You'll have to wind down and that may take a long time to do so.  You'll have to give yourself time to discuss the game with your buddies and even pay up on those bets you made.  Let's face it, you won't be going to be early.

If You're Drinking Alcohol Drink Water as Well

Rule of thumb for ever two drinks, drink a glass of water in between.  Alcohol dehydrates you and that's what gives you a hangover, keep yourself hydrated with water while you drink.  When you get home, drink a glass of water and take a couple of ibuprofen before bed.  You'll be grateful you did when you wake up.  If you keep from overdoing it on the alcohol that would be an even greater thing to prevent that handover on Monday.

What the Heck Take the Monday Off

If you know you are going to be partying on Super Bowl Sunday and you know there is no way you'll be worth anything at work on Monday.  Just take a personal day and sleep in.
