We've all been there, you're driving in your car, and you see a car or set of headlights behind you, and they seem to be following you.  You take a turn, they take the same turn.  Maybe you turn onto a very low traffic street, and they are still there behind you.  It seems like they're following you.  Most of the time, they're not, it's merely coincidence they are behind you for a few miles.  However, sometimes they are following you, as an Amarillo man learned over the weekend.  He was followed home and robbed at knife-point in his own driveway.

"On Sunday January 12th at approximately 7:25am, officers were dispatched to 900 Charlotte on a Personal Robbery. Upon arrival they spoke with the victim who stated that he was followed home from a nearby store and robbed at knife point. The victim advised that he was approached at a nearby business by a B/M asking for money. He told the subject he did not have any money and continued shopping at the store. The victim later made a cash withdraw from an ATM and began to proceed back to his residence in the 900 block of Charlotte. As he left the business he observed the same B/M who had asked for money across the street. The B/M crossed (coming towards him) the street and began following the victim and continued to ask for money. Once the victim got to his apartment, the suspect forced the victim inside and pulled a knife and threatened him. The suspect stole the money from the victim’s wallet and took off running out the door. The suspect is described as a B/M late 30’2, 5’ tall, medium build, wearing a brown jacket and blue jeans."

Friends, take precautions when you think you're being followed.  This proves that you could end up a victim.

If you think you're being followed, take the person on a tour of the city.  If they're still following you after several weird turns and strange routes, you take them downtown to the Amarillo Police station!
