The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning that's in effect starting at 12n today through 12n tomorrow for the Texas Panhandle and Oklahoma Panhandle.  The forthcoming snow storm could yield up to 8 inches of snow in some areas!

The major portion of the storm is going to hit the Oklahoma Panhandle on the northeast Texas Panhandle.  In Amarillo, we could see isolated thunderstorms packing a mix of rain, sleet and snow Wednesday (today) evening.  But we're expecting less than 2 inches of accumulation here in Amarillo according to the forecast.

So bundle up today, because it's only going to get colder!  Tomorrow, we'll have a 20% chance of light snow in the morning, but the rest of the day will just be cold and cloudy.
