Mother Accused Of Snorting Hydrocodone Before Breastfeeding Infant [VIDEO]

What a heartbreaking story. A West Fargo woman is being charged in the death of her 4-day-old son after snorting hydrocodone before breastfeeding.

Charges are being filed against Reanne Rose Pederson, saying she had snorted hydrocodone before breastfeeding her son. After snorting hydrocodone, the mother fell asleep for about an hour and woke up to her child being unresponsive. Paramedics were called to the scene and sadly the baby later died at the hospital. A West Fargo doctor said:

"The effects of the hydrocodone would be substantially heightened by snorting it, and would make the user drowsy and dizzy, with labored breathing."

"Having those effects and then immediately thereafter breastfeeding a baby would be very dangerous to the child."

It was also rumored that Pederson had smoked methamphetamine days before delivering baby Avery. As of right now, Pederson is charged with a single count of negligent homicide. This is a Class C felony. She is also charged with ingesting methamphetamine which is a Class A misdemeanor. She faces up to five years in prison if convicted.

On September 24th she plead not guilty to a single count of negligent homicide and ingesting methamphetamine.

I feel that this is just another example of someone who shouldn't be a parent.
