NBC is far from the only guilty party when it comes to TV revivals, but there’s something special about reviving something you failed to revive. The Munsters may live again, as NBC succeeds Mockingbird Lane with another attempt at the ghoulish family, executive produced by Seth Meyers.

Per The Hollywood Reporter, Meyers and Odd Mom Out creator Jill Kargman are developing a comedic update of the classic sitcom, said to follow “an offbeat family determined to stay true to themselves as they struggle to fit in in hipster Brooklyn” (eye-rolls into the next century). That’s a markedly different take from Bryan Fuller’s Mockingbird Lane reboot, which took a darker approach to the characters, but was ultimately burnt off as a Halloween special.

Kargman will write the script, executive producing with Meyers partner Mike Shoemaker for Sethmaker Shoemeyers Productions and Universal TV. The original series only ran for seventy episodes on CBS from 1964-1966, but blossomed into a cult classic with syndication.

It’s worth remembering that Mockingbird Lane also featured a cast of Jerry O’Connell, Eddie Izzard and Portia de Rossi in a pilot directed by Bryan Singer, but will a hipster clash version of The Munsters fare any better?
