The ever-evolving Netflix model makes it difficult to discern viewer data, let alone interpret what tidbits the company confirms. That said, Netflix has been studying “binge racers” who finish seasons within twenty-four hours of their debut, and you might be surprised by the highs and lows.

Netflix put out a press release detailing some of its more voracious consumers, counting approximately 8.4 million members who regularly partake in finishing entire seasons as fast as possible. Among the release’s stranger tidbits, it seems only five U.S. members of those eight million commit to finishing a House of Cards season in one day, while the top “binge racer” slot globally belongs to the four episodes of Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life.

The results vary by country, as The Defenders took the top slot in Korea, while Canada claims the most “binge racers” with new Trailer Park Boys seasons. Here’s the top twenty overall, which still manages to make room for new series and more sporadic releases like GLOW and Master of None:

  1. Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life
  2. Fuller House
  3. Marvel’s The Defenders
  4. The Seven Deadly Sins
  5. The Ranch
  6. Santa Clarita Diet
  7. Trailer Park Boys
  8. F is for Family
  9. Orange Is the New Black
  10. Stranger Things
  11. Friends from College
  12. Atypical
  13. Grace and Frankie
  14. Wet Hot American Summer
  15. Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt
  16. House of Cards
  17. Love
  18. GLOW
  19. Chewing Gum
  20. Master of None

The press release likewise corroborates that hour-long dramas are binged on relatively equal footing with shorter comedies, though it’s worth remembering that length can affect the outcome. F is for Family had only six episodes in its first season, while The Defenders’ eight episodes apparently rank well-above any of the individual Marvel series.

We may never known for certain exactly how popular a given Netflix series is, but does Gilmore Girls’ place all-but-guarantee us another revival?
