No Sweethearts Candy This Year Due To Company Bankruptcy

February 14th's holiday candy will not be on this shelves this year after the New England Confectionary Co., went out of business in 2018.

NECCO went out of business last July and was later purchased at an auction by Round Hill Investments and sold to the Spangler Candy Co., in September 2018. However, this did not leave enough time for the company to produce the beloved conversational hearts.

The Spangler Company is looking forward to launching the hearts in 2020.

You might be able to find some sweet knockoff this year, so you're not completely heartless.
