So I have heard a lot of stuff about actors getting special treatment, but I find this story kind of hard to believe.  A professor at New York University claims he was fired because he gave actor James Franco a 'D' in his class.

In recent years we have seen a bunch of Hollywood actors return to college to get their degrees.  One of them is none other than James Franco.  He has been taking various classes at NYU and according to one of his professors he is not an 'A' student.

Former professor, Jose Angel Santana, claims that Franco was hardly ever in class.  In fact he says that the actor missed 12 out of the 14 days he was suppose to be in attendance.  Santana taught Franco in his 'Directing the Actor' class.  All of this class ditching caused Santana to give Mr. Franco a D for the class.

Apparently giving the actor such a low grade caused so much backlash that the University fired him.  Oh no!  Well that is at least what the professor says.  He filed a lawsuit and is demanding that he get his job back.

The way I see it, if NYU fired him, they probably have a good reason.  James Franco is famous, but do you really think he has that kind of power over the University?  I don't, nor do I think that a students grades should be made public.  I'm sure James Franco doesn't want everyone to know he is a 'D' student.

Something sounds shady to me.  Everything always comes out in the end I guess we'll have to wait and see.
