A car chase with APD made officers break out the spike strips to catch the suspect of a stolen vehicle.  A chase that led outside Amarillo city limits and back in, and even has that last ditch effort where the suspect bailed out on foot in hopes to escape.

As an officer noticed a "suspicious vehicle", after running the plates, it came back stolen.  After attempting to pull over the Nissan 4 door, the chase began.

Down I-40, almost to Arnot Road, then the driver decided to make a U-turn and head back into the city...but there was an officer with a spike strip waiting before Soncy.

"The car would exit, then re-enter the interstate at different locations.  It went to almost Bell Street, turned around and went back to Bush St.  Some of the car’s tires had gone flat.  The driver bailed out on foot and ran.  A female passenger stayed in the car.  The driver was taken into custody after an officer deployed a Taser to end the short foot pursuit."

Oh but that's not the end, the car had plates stolen from another vehicle taken in a burglary in Amarillo.  The car itself was reported stolen out of Roswell, NM!  There was also a good amount of property that had been stolen in other incidents located in the car.  So the good guys win, and the only suspect who ran ended up running himself right behind bars (high-speed chase guy voice).
