Official First Day Of School For Amarillo, Canyon And The Rest Of The Texas Panhandle 2012

This seems like a weird calendar year, just like everything is falling on weird dates. A big question, what is the official first day of school for 2012/when is back to school? From Amarillo, to Canyon and the rest of the Texas Panhandle, it seems like everyone is going to be starting on the same day.
Amarillo, or Amarillo ISD, has a first official back to school date of Monday, August 27th, 2012, as does pretty much the rest of the Texas Panhandle. River Road ISD, Canyon ISD, Hereford ISD, Borger ISD, Panhandle ISD, Pampa ISD and all the others.
