Pedestrian Struck By Vehicle Downtown Amarillo

Awful news of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle this morning in downtown Amarillo.  The accident took place east of 10th & S Fillmore and the end result was a fatality.  Traffic has resumed, but commuters are encouraged to look for alternate routes as Amarillo Police continue to investigate.

"The traffic accident on Interstate 40 near the interchange is now clear. Normal traffic has resumed. The APD Traffic Investigation Unit still working fatal accident at SE 10th and Fillmore. Drivers are encouraged to find alternative routes around this downtown accident."
