Amarillo's very own home-grown Pittsburgh Steelers Defensive End, Ziggy Hood, will be back in town this Saturday, July 14th, to attend a benefit banquet for the West Texas Youth Football League!

The same man that graced the halls of Palo Duro High and the field on Super Bowl Sunday, is back in town this Saturday for the non-profit organization.

The West Texas Football League was founded in 1977 and has been helping players in the Texas Panhandle ever since, providing a great environment, equipment and coaching for local kids that want to excel in the sport.

By attending the benefit banquet, your helping to assure the programs longevity in this department.  Also, expand program opportunities and purchase land in Amarillo to build multiple playing fields for the area youth.

The banquet will be this Saturday, July 14th from 6-9pm at the Amarillo Civic Center's Grand Plaza.

There will be raffles of Pittsburgh Steelers memorabilia, autographs and pictures with keynote speaker, Ziggy Hood, and yes, food!  It's a banquet after all, and that by definition means food and speeches.

The food will be provided by the Stock Yard Cafe, which is freaking awesome!  That's some good ol' country cooking right there!

Tickets are on sale now and remember it's all for a good cause!  They are $65 per person and can be purchased at all Panhandle Ticket Outlets, online at Panhandle Tickets, or charge by phone at 806-378-3096.

Ticket includes catered dinner, raffle ticket for memorabilia, and the opportunity to hear Ziggy Hood speak about his career in the NFL and his partnership with the West Texas Youth Football League!
