R.I.P. Snoop Dogg- Born Again and Now Calls Himself “Snoop Lion”- Name Change

Good Bye to one of the best rappers on the planet ever Snoop Dogg! Okay we’ve seen from basketball players to football players change their name. Even Sean “Puffy” Combs changed his name like 5 times. Now to add to the list of name changes is Snoop Dogg… I don’t know if all that smoking has go to his head but former Snoop Dogg now Snoop Lion says he has been “Born Again.” During a Recent trip to Jamiaca not only did he come back to the U.S wanting to change his name but he is also changing his genre of music to reggae..”Hey Mon!” The born again Snoop Lion said he connected with Bob Marley’s spirit and is “Bob Marley reincarnated.”
He also said he is not giving up the “Rap” game that made him famous, but is “tired” of the genre because he doesn’t feel like its challenging anymore.
“Reggae was calling…it’s a breath of fresh air,” Snoop Dogg said. “Rap isn’t challenging; its not appealing.”
Snoop lion says he is happy with the change of genres of music because he feels he can now connect with kids and their grandparents. Be on the look out for Snoop Lions first reggae record to drop in the fall and it will be called “Reincarnated.”
