Ever wonder why you have red eyes after swimming at the pool. Most of us have always thought it was caused by chlorine but now it has been confirmed that theory is wrong.

According to the Center For Disease Control and Prevention the reason you get red eyes after swimming is because of urine in the pool and not chlorine. The stinging you feel in your eyes when swimming is caused by the combination of chlorine and sweat. So next time you go swimming and your eyes burn it's not because of too much chlorine in the pool that's just a myth. The real reason is because you got urine in your eyes from someone else peeing in the pool.
