A restaurant in North Carolina is giving patrons who pray before their meal 15% off their ticket.

Mary’s Gourmet Diner has been getting a lot of attention after a Christian Radio-station in Orlando, Florida posted a receipt on their Facebook after a friend had noticed they received a discount for praying in public. Mary's Diner has been doing this for four years now. People thought the whole thing was a hoax.

A Fox news reporter interviewed the owner Mary and she said "It’s about the whole idea of gratitude, it's not a religious thing, it's a spiritual thing." Mary's Diner does not advertise the "praying in public" discount, they just give it randomly when they see people praying before they eat.

Not everyone agrees with their practice but they also don't have their employee's enforce it to patrons.
