Shooting Takes Place At A Bar Located At 2826 E. Amarillo Blvd
After receiving a 911 hang-up call from a bar located at 2826 E Amarillo Blvd, Amarillo Police dispatched officers to the location. Upon arrival, responding officers witnessed gunshots being fired from a vehicle that was leaving the parking lot.
They stopped the vehicle, detained the 2 male subjects that were occupying it, and recovered the firearm that was used in the shooting.
Back at the bar, there were 2 victims of the shooting. Both sustained none life-threatening injuries, and both declined medical treatment.
"All parties involved were transported to the police department for further investigation by the Detective Division, and CSI responded to investigate the shooting scenes. The driver of the pickup, Richard Allen Martinez HM 20 of Amarillo was arrested and booked into the Potter County Correctional Center and charges of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon. The passenger was released. The investigation is on-going."
