I was reading the Facebook comments on our local News station and was taken back by the things that were said about the stories.

My first thought was, "I would be horrified if my family or employer saw the hateful things I wrote on social media."

It's really easy to express your opinion on social media and not feel like you're responsible for it. A lot of people on social media have their job titles public and it's really easy to screen grab conversations and email them to employers.

When you comment or like something on social media, it's a 'receipt' as the youth would call it. If I was a manager and saw one of my employees making hateful comments or making derogatory remarks. I would take action.

It's not that I can't handle someone with different opinions, I'm completely open to that. It's the outright ugliness of how the opinion is expressed.

So, what do you think?
