The National Weather Service has issued a tornado watch in effect until 10pm tonight for pretty much the entire Texas Panhandle except the most northern portions. This does include Amarillo, so brace yourself for severe weather, and keep it KISS-FM for all your updates as we progress through this afternoon & evening!

May 22, 2013 4:52 PM Okay, so they say there are 2 sides to every story, I say there are 3 sides to every story! There's 1 person's side, the other person's side, and then there's the actual truth. The hardest part is, knowing the truth can be very hard. When all you have is someone's story to go off, you can only take the knowledge you're given and base your judgement off that. Well a mother of one of the students at River Road High that got one of the "Worst Band Member Award" certificates called me to say that there was nothing funny about this, and her son was not involved in the "practical joke" that was allegedly organized by the students.
May 22, 2013 3:48 PM Okay so Nathan Lewis just called me, he's a drum major at River Road High, and he wanted to clear the air about the "Worst Band Member Award" that was recently shared by me. Where the band director for River Road allegedly issued the award to 3 students in the class. Nathan calls to back his teacher up, and pull Marci Criswell completely out of the equation, saying it was a "practical joke put on by the students".

OMG is this for real? Because if so, WOW! I can not believe this teacher had the audacity to actually give this to a student! This, my dear, tender and loving friends, is a text book example of a teacher bullying a student! And it happened right here in Amarillo, TX at River Road High! The band teacher, Marci Criswell, allegedly gave a student, Evan Hodges, an award for "The Worst Band Member"!

May 20, 2013 7:56 PM A tragic story that continues as Oklahoma gets pummeled by tornadoes, some that have even reached class EF-4 potential status! At least 51 people were killed and that number continues to rise, in the tornado that ripped through the southwest parts of the OKC metro, and a large number of others have sustained injuries. The tornado was estimated to have been 2 miles wide at one point as it moved through Moore, OK!
May 20, 2013 7:26 PM Today at approximately 10:38am, the First Bank of Southwest located at 5701 SW 34th in Amarillo was robbed, for what I believe is the 2nd time this year! I drove by just in time to snap some photos of Amarillo Police cars blocking the entrances to the bank, and that was a huge red flag to me that something had went down. Even better, officials have actually released a video of the bank robbery in hopes to get help in locating the suspect.
May 20, 2013 4:09 PM A pretty bad situation going on today, May 20th, 2013, in Moore, OK as a tornado has swept through the city, a tornado of EF-4 status! That's the second to highest tornado status on the Enhanced Fujita scale used to measure them! So, you could say this was literally a monster tornado!

May 16, 2013 11:08 AM Well this just makes the citizens of Amarillo look like outstanding Americans! An Amarillo woman was at the Sonic Drive In located at 2220 Ross St. in Amarillo, and while she was in the drive-through line, a man walked up to her window, pointed a handgun at her, pressed it against her shoulder, and demanded for her to hand over her wallet. Getting robbed in a fast-food drive-through, now that will make you lose your appetite right there!
